Ronda Rousey Says She Really Wanted To Have Singles Match Against Becky Lynch
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Ronda Rousey wanted to face Becky Lynch in a singles match.

During a recent LiveSigning session promoting her new book, Our Fight: A Memoir, Rousey was asked about any dream matches she wanted to have. Rousey said that she wished she could have faced Becky Lynch in a singles match. (H/t Andrew Thompson of POST Wrestling for the transcription)

“Well, I really wanted to have that singles with Becky (Lynch) that constantly got dangled in front of me — I never got to have — which you can read about in our book…you can get it at and hear me b*tch about that for a couple hundred pages,” said Rousey.

Rousey’s history with Lynch is a long one, and the pair nearly faced off in a singles match at WrestleMania 35 for Rousey’s WWE RAW Women’s Championship. However, the bout ultimately became a Triple Threat match with Charlotte Flair.

WWE teased a singles match between Lynch and Rousey over the years. However, it never became a reality. Rousey left WWE after WWE SummerSlam 2023, and she has since heavily criticized the company.

Lynch is now the WWE Women’s World Champion. She is scheduled to defend the title against Liv Morgan at WWE King and Queen of the Ring.
