Vancouver Canucks prospect Jacob Truscott has been named to Team USA’s evaluation camp roster ahead of the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Truscott, 20, is a left-handed defenceman who scored two goals and 17 points in 40 games with the NCAA’s Michigan Wolverines in 2021–22.

The Canucks originally selected the 6’1″, 172-pound rearguard in the fifth round (No. 144 overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft.

Truscott hails from Fort Gratiot, Michigan. He’s one of 20 American defencemen who will be attending the camp, which will take place in Plymouth, Michigan from July 24 to August 3.

Seven goaltenders and 37 forwards will attend the evaluation camp, with the country’s World Junior roster expected to be announced on August 3. Truscott is the only Canucks prospect attending the camp.

The rescheduled 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship will take place from August 9 to 20 in Edmonton, Alberta. We’ll keep you posted on all the Canucks-related developments in advance of and at the tournament.
